Cancer support for Charles Tu

I was diagnosed with a rare form of non-Hodgkins lymphoma in 2003. It is treatable but not curable. At that time, I had to go through a rigorous chemo protocol. The disease went into remission for almost 10 years. In 2015, it reappeared and I was fortunate to get into a trial, which consisted of one intravenous chemo drug and 4 chemo pills every day. This got me back into remission. However, there are no studies of the long-term efficacy of the chemo pills, so earlier this year, my oncologist strongly recommended a stem cell transplant as the next step in treatment. I began this process last month and am currently about to become an inpatient at MD Anderson for 4 weeks to get the stem cell transplant. After hospitalization, I will need an undetermined amount of time to regain my self sufficiency. All funds will be going to repeated trips to the hospital, parking fees and any unforseen medical complications. Any help that you could give to help me would be greatly appreciated! *Update:  Charles has increased his goal because of something we didn't think about.  If he should have to go into long-term disability, he won't be getting his full salary.  He thinks that the extra money should carry us over if that happens.   Thanks to a friend who pointed this out!  

Today, Charles is finished with chemo (yay!) and will be getting his stem cell transplant.  It takes about a week for the cells to engraft into his bone marrow and start producing more cells.  He will be, however, experiencing side effects of the chemo at this time as well.  If you contact him and don't hear from him, it is because he is really sick but he will contact you when his symptoms subside.  Anderson is very good about treating side effects quickly!  Please continue to pray.  Thanks and God bless all of you!
