From my mom:
I am usually a pretty healthy person. I try to stay active and am very independent. But I started to feel not quite right. You know your own body, right? I noticed I was losing weight and getting nauseous when I ate. Then it progressed pretty quickly to throwing up everything I put in my mouth. I went to the ER several times for nausea and dehydration. They finally admitted me and remove my gallbladder. During that surgery on June 6, they did a needle biopsy of a breast lump. On June 10, I was told I have breast cancer.
Well, the gall bladder removal did not stop my losing weight and throwing up. At this point (early June), I weighed 94lbs at 5'3".
They sent me to a bigger hospital to get another more involved surgery on July 5. They found masses creating blockages in my intestines. On July 6, I found out that these masses were from the breast cancer that had metastasized.
This means I have advanced stage 4 breast cancer. I cannot possibly keep a job while fighting for my life in this way and that is why I am creating this account.
I have a lovely husband, two grown children and a 3 year old grandson that I would like to know me. I hope to live whatever life I have left in the most positive way I know how. With your help, in whatever form you can give, I hope to fight this and live long enough for my grandson to have good memories of his Grandma.
Thank you and I appreciate anything you can do to help.
