Cancer Sucks- Mountain Biking to Help Others
Donation protected
This past winter, at the age of 39, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer. After undergoing surgery and treatment the past several months I am finally done and ready to live a normal life again! I was extremely blessed to catch this disease when I did
and am more than grateful for the medical providers who took the time to diagnose and treat me. I am even more blessed to have the support of my wife, Dawn, my three children, my family and close friends. I am fortunate enough to work for a great organization, Exeter Hospital, and have caring and thoughtful managers and co-workers who made it easy to recover during a very unstable time worldwide. Through my employment at Exeter Hospital, my health benefits and disability insurance provided much needed financial relief and access to quality care not only locally, but at MGH and Dana Farber. Unfortunately, there are many people who are not as fortunate as me and don’t have insurance, access to great care and financially struggle with the costs of cancer treatment and recovery. For that reason I’ve decided to start this fundraiser and dedicate all proceeds to the “Beyond the Rainbow Fund” at Exeter Hospital. This fund helps cancer patients in need and contributes to: car bills, medical payments, rent, medication costs, etc. From August 1st to Aug 31st I will be mountain biking every week and ask you to donate for every mile I complete. My goal is 100 miles and your donations will motivate me to push harder and further. Donate what you can and know that any amount will help someone in need. Thanks again for taking time to read this and to donate!
*Update 9/1: I have ended this fundraiser on GoFundMe but feel free to donate directly at
