Update 4/27/18: Unbelievable misfortune has once again made its ugly mark on Ms. Sheila's life. She learned this week that she has cancer. This seems like too much for one woman to take! Yet her tough spirit and resilience are keeping her strong. She told me today that the only thing she wishes for is to be able to move back into her house. The amount of devastation our sweet friend, Ms. Sheila, has encountered over the past 2 years is more than most of us could even imagine! Not long after a tragic house fire forced her family to move in with her mother, heartbreak hit again when she lost her husband of 28 years to diabetes. The recent loss of her mother has basically left her homeless and heartbroken. Sheila is a hard worker who is active in our community and respected by all! She needs $8000 to complete the repairs on her home to make it safe enough to move back into.
