CANCER , CFS LEAK , SUPPORT NEEDED

Ricardos ongoing tumour and hospital journey Ricardos has always been a loving individual that cared for others more than about himself. No matter what situation he was in he would always try and be there for his friends and family when they needed him. Once his eye started swelling and with constant visits to GP and hospitals that only sent him home with eye drops he started being complacent to doing anything else. In Dec 2018 when he ignored the doctors and went into A&E in Moorfields eye hospital he was told his case is not a emergency and they don’t know why he came into A&E, however as he’s already here they will see him. After a scan and tests they found a tumour connected to his brain right behind his eye which explained the swelling. The biopsy was done in Dec 2018 and his first surgery was 7th January 2019. Unfortunately due to the placement of the tumour they couldn’t remove it fully and radiotherapy will cause him to lose sight. The surgery was unsuccessful as it caused a CFS leak which is the liquid surrounding the brain leaking into his nose that then caused him to have meningitis. After another surgery to fix the leak it was finally time for his body to recover. Being in hospital for two months he was finally able to leave in February while expecting his baby girl to be born in March as his partner was 8months pregnant. While this should of been the most precious and happy time in his life it was filled with stress and worry. Thinking this is all over and trying to get back on his feet and even being able to get a new job he started having seizures. The doctors once again ignored the signs and didn’t prescribe any medication which caused his shoulder being knocked out of place and his shoulder bone being crushed which lead to him having another surgery. Once again Ricardo recovered and pushed through everything however SEP 2020 he just found out the CFS leak has returned which means another surgery and high risks of meningitis. We’re living in a uncertain time and we appreciate all donations. They will be put towards Ricardo being able to support his family as him having multiple surgery’s and a baby to take care of has caused a lot of strain financial on his family. He’s very creative and has been working towards a business plan for years unfortunately being in hospital meant he wasn’t able to work towards his dreams.
