Mike and Kim have the connection and love that is only otherwise seen in movies. They are each other’s world, sweetheart and soulmate. They have built a life and family that reflects that deep love.
In late 2019, after nearly a year of a cough that just wouldn't let up, Michael Lemire was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. In her true character, Kim sprang into action and planning; setting up care for Mike and ensuring he made it to every chemo appointment. Through it all, Kim kept him laughing and holding on to hope of spending their golden years lying by the river like they’ve always planned.
Mike's diagnosis has become terminal, and after 26 years of marriage, Kim is now planning Palliative Care instead of her retirement. Kim has unfortunately been unable to work as she devotes all of her time, energy and love into supporting Mike. As a result, the financial stress is making an unimaginably difficult time even more terrible.
Life is fleeting and our actions are so powerful. Please, if you can, donate to help Mike and Kim through this time as their days together become more and more precious. Even the smallest donation will contribute towards providing them the most deserved blessing of reprieve.
