Canadians Care About Our Health Workers

CANADA CARES

For the past two years Canadian’s have watched health professionals across Canada give everything they have to save lives, fight COVID19, keep hospitals running and work themselves to the bone in understaffed units.

They need a break.

And a kit kat won’t cut it.

At a time when a small loud cohort rails against restrictions designed to make it easier for our doctors and nurses to deliver the care Canadians need we have decided that we want to give back to our health care heros. We see you. You are not alone. Beyond the noise know - we are grateful.

We citizens don’t control health policy in the moment and banging pots and pans - well everyone needs a break from the racket.

WHO WE ARE:
A small group of volunteers and business owners.  We do not have personal relationships with those we are raising money to celebrate.

WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO WITH THE MONEY?

We will donate pre-paid VISA cards to nominated qualified health professionals.

They can choose to use those funds however they want:
Get a massage?
Pay down a student loan?
Go sking?
Hire a therapist?
Book a flight to somewhere far away?
Donate to a patient or family in need?

Whatever they need or want to do to recover from what has been the hardest two years of their careers. On us.

We hope to be able to distribute Visa cards valued at $500 each.

We will be establishing a trust account with an registered bank.

HOW WILL YOU CHOOSE WHO TO GIVE THE MONEY TO:

We are looking for you to nominate your favourite health care worker. Help us tell their story and let's celebrate the people who have gos us through this.

Nominate them on our website at www.canadaloveshcw.ca
Or email us at [email redacted]
Follow us on twitter and IG - @canadaloveshcw

Nominations will close March 30.

WANT TO HELP?

And if you want to help volunteer with this - let us know! We would love a social media presence to help us share the stories of those who have helped out and we will need a killer excel spreadsheet.
