Canadian Battlefields Pilgrimage

Donation protected
My name is Michael Robertson and I am a teacher at Prairie Christian Academy. I am leading a team of Grade 10-12 students from Three Hills, AB from March 30 to April 8, 2018.

100 years after the end of WWI in Europe, only the opening slavo in a century of strife, a group of students, parents, and staff from PCA will be retracing the steps of our forefathers. The trip will include the sights and sounds of Berlin, Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris while hitting many battlefields in between. From the landing beaches at Juno and Dieppe, to the trenches of the Somme, Vimy Ridge, Arras, and Ypres, to the hallowed ground of the Anne Frank House and Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, we will come to truly know what it means to be Canadian. For ten days we will travel the route that our ancestors took in WWII; from the beginning to the end of Operation Overlord, all the while taking in other cultural and national attractions such as the Eiffel Tower, the Palace of Versailles, and Brandenburg Gate.

We are endeavouring to pay hommage to all who served and would like help in paying tribute to them. The money you contribute will go towards the memorial tributes that we will leave at the graves of soldiers, and the innocents lost in the cross-fire of both World Wars, the Holocaust, and the Cold War. It will also help us to get to these places. We will remember them.

My website for the tour can be viewed below and, before we depart, will have a trip blog link added to it:
