The Canadian men's (Wolverines) and women's (Ravens) rugby league teams are traveling to Serbia September 12-22 for five international matches.
This tour is the first of its kind in the world of rugby league, whereby both men and women's teams have traveled across the Atlantic together to play international matches. It will also mark the fist time that Canada have played Serbia and traveled to the Balkans.
The Wolverines will play a warm up match against Bosnia before facing Serbia twice. The Ravens, will also play Serbia twice.
While the tour has some sponsors, each player is estimated to be contributing at least $2,500 each.
The Ravens are currently ranked fourth in the world, behind Australia, England and New Zealand, while The Wolverines stand 21st, below 17th-ranked Serbia.
Please show your support and help reduce the cost for these athletes to be able to represent their country in the great sport of Rugby League!
