Jenna Dunkley was involved in a collision with a cyclist while crossing the road at Sowerby Bridge, Halifax, just 3 days after Christmas. The cyclist did not provide contact details to Jenna.
She needed 26 stitches to her face, a swollen eye, bruising to both knees and a swollen elbow. She was found lying on the floor by 2 passers-by who attended to her injuries.
The cyclist lied in saying that Jenna had headphones on - she most definitely did not. The police have chosen not to pursue the case.
Jenna is not able to receive sick pay and cannot work for the time being.
Her friends are rallying around to replace her smashed glasses and ripped coat, as she cannot afford to replace either. Can you help out with a few pounds?
