Cam's rehab to walk again

Oct. 4 2015 I was involved in a head on accident with my  8 year old son. Man was driving on the wrong side of the road and hit us. Luckly for my son all he received was a cracked collarbone and a lil internal bleeding.  Which was a scare for the family considering he has had 4 major open heart surgeries. To where they say I died waiting on life flight and came back then was put in a medically induced coma for a month. I broke my ankle, both my knees. Broke one hip and dislocated both hips. Did static nerve damage to each leg. I put a six inch hole in my pelvis. Broke my shoulder. Lung collapsed. Had my spleen removed to bleeding. My liver was bleeding. I developed drop foot in my ankles had to have surgeries to correct and minipulate both ankles my knee and hip. When I woke up from coma was told I would never walk again. Been fighting with depression and ptsd.I have been in a wheel chair for 18 months before going to a new Dr. and realized some things other Dr. over looked and didn't fully correct. I started developing scoliosis. They put titanium plate and screws in my hip which got stuck in the joint between pelvis and femur cause me to lack range of motion. Then one bone was starting to grow over other bone so I got a full hip replacement and have been starting to learn to walk again when they said I wouldn't. But now looking at having to possibly have a knee replacement now. But faith and determination told me different. I have been a single father raising the two boys in this picture. The youngest one who was with me in accident, his mother passed when he was 6 months old. He has been my strength to recover after watching him have his first major open heart surgery at 3 months only. Then having 3 more major heart surgeries over the next 3 years. He showed me the strength to overcome all odds. And his older brother stood up to help at 17 yrs old to take care of him . I have exhausted all money that I had available to take care of them and cover as much medical expenses as I could. Been fighting with Government for 2 years to get my disability and now they say it will take another 16 months till I get a hearing.  And I'm so close to walking I can feel it. And it's hard being the one who has always taken care of my sons to know they have to take care of me. Help me get dressed,feed me, help me use the bathroom, bathe. But I love them for all they have done. And now my oldest who is 19 is fixing to make me a Grandfather. I told my children I will walk again, I will not give up and spend there life's with me in a wheel chair. I will play with my son again, I will play with my first granddaughter. And I've never asked for help due to my pride. But for my children I have to put that aside if this is what it will take for me to walk. But I was lucky for FAMILY that helped. My 80 year old Grandmother opened her doors when I lost everything to give a roof. My dad has pushed for me to get everything they denied in medical terms have faught with hospitals due to insurance coverage. Have got Senator J.Cornyn involved trying to improve the flaws in the system to help the next person  not to have to go through all I had to. And would not have known bout any of this if I didn't have to go through it. My sisters, nephews have also been a great help. My goal is to walk go back to work and be the father I was and take care of my family. So all I can do is ask you for your help to achieve this goal to pay for my physical therapy which will be three 1hour visits a week they say it will be about a 36 month process. So if can donate thank you, if not just share the post. This way I can not only get back to walking, I can show my sons there is still good in this world of so much bad. I can recover to address what I've been through to help teach and motivate others. I can start to address a system that needs changed. But you can not make changes or amendments with out question what's in place. And my views and experience lets me see it through a different point of view. Yes I'm asking for your help but your help could possibly also help me help others. Let today be the day you decide to help change someone's life. But with my faith and determination I know the lord will allow me this because he saved my life for a reason.  And as long as I can wake up everyday to see my children I will never give up and I will teach them no matter what they say you can't do as along as you keep your faith,stay determined and never give up you can do anything.
