Cam's financial assistance following surgery

Last month I was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease stage 5. The recommended treatment is either dialysis which could extend my life by another 10-15 years or a transplant from a living donor, or cadaver kidney which would extend it much longer. I have found several live donors who are in the process of being considered by my treatment team, I am meeting with my treatment team again on January 19th from 1-5 for my final complete evaluation. 
The actual surgery will not occur for another 6 months, however I was instructed by my transplant coordinator to start raising funds soon, the funds I raise will be to cover any lodging or travel expenses for my donor, as well as my transportation cost to go to and from UCLA three times a week for the first month following surgery. It will provide me with a stipend to live on as I will not be able to work for the first three months following surgery, food, and other minute expenses. 
My situation is urgent, as the I have a small window of opportunity to find a donor,  and make arrangements in and around the house prior to surgery to make it easier for me to obtain in home care for the first couple of weeks. 
I may need other help as well as we move forward, and will keep you posted once I know more about the type of help I will need.
I have never set one of these up on my own behalf, or regarding a health situation however I have raised money in the past for non-profits I have worked for, and if I was not in the position I am in right now, I would not be asking for your assistance.
