Campus Cooperative Preschool (formerly Playtime Preschool) has been educating and providing preschoolers and their families a caring and developmentally appropriate preschool curriculum for 69 years!
Established in 1951, we have faced and overcome many obstacles. One thing has remained a constant through all those years…the caring, and dedicated teaching staff, working together as a team to provide each student the highest quality early childhood education.
The teaching staff have adapted their teaching methods and developed an online/hybrid program to ensure each child is engaged, learning and continue to develop socially and emotionally. The children meet several times a week for live zoom sessions, complete daily activities through prerecorded videos and meet every Friday for an in person (masked and distanced) outdoor class!
Our core belief at Campus Cooperative Preschool is kindness, and we have taught children that they have a home family, and a school family. We need the help of our community and families more than ever.
Covid 19 and the ensuing pandemic has had a negative financial impact on so many small businesses in our community. Unfortunately, our small nonprofit preschool has taken an especially hard hit. Campus Cooperative does not qualify for most existing grants because we are a half day preschool program. The capacity restrictions in place because of the coronavirus make things financially difficult.
Your donation to our preschool will keep our four incredible staff members employed. Our teaching staff has a combined total of 56 loyal years invested in Campus Cooperative Preschool. We all know that today’s children will be tomorrow’s leaders, and you can help make a significant difference by supporting a preschool dedicated to educating the sweetest little people on our planet.
Our hope is to continue offering our online/hybrid program to families in our community, and to open our school doors to in-person learning when it’s deemed safe to do so. To do that we need your help.
Any donations will be used to pay salaries, rent and utilities.
Thank you for considering supporting Campus Cooperative Preschool.

"Campus Cooperative Preschool is a nurturing, play-based program that focuses on social emotional development. The warm group of teachers create a unique environment with an emphasis on safety, exploration, fun, and artistic expression. Preschoolers are lovingly encouraged to practice social skills like conflict resolution, empathy and self-advocacy. Our children (now in middle and elementary school) still recall special moments at CCP, and our family built lasting friendships with our CCP "family"."
"We have been a CCP family since 2012. The teachers are what make this school such a wonderful place for children to grow! Anna, Yukimi, Haruyo, and Tara are a nurturing, compassionate, patient and committed teaching team. We trusted them 100% to care for our kids and help them develop the social-emotional skills they needed to get ready for Kindergarten!"
"Upon the recommendation of a friend, my family found CCP--a hidden gem in our community! Our two daughters each completed 3 years at the school. We appreciated the experienced teachers, the play-based learning curriculum, and the emotional development techniques they taught. Our children were well-prepared for kindergarten because of the skills they learned at CCP."
"After looking through many preschool options in the area, we were so happy to have found Campus Cooperative Preschool. It was important to us that our children’s preschool be warm and playful, a place where the emphasis was on learning not only the basics of education but also the social skills that lead to genuine personal interactions. We knew as soon as we looked at Campus Cooperative Preschool that the loving, warm environment was the result of the hard work and compassion of the staff. After 6 years at the school we were beyond sad to see this chapter of our children’s lives come to and end."
"Campus Cooperative Preschool is an incredibly magical place. Every child that walks through the door is respected, loved and encouraged. The teachers (especially Miss Anna!) are endlessly patient, genuine and above all else warm and kind. My twin boys spent three wonderful years growing and learning about what it means to be a respectful listener, a curious questioner, and a good and supportive friend. They walked out of the door of CCP with security and confidence, more than ready to meet life’s next big challenge! Please help save this wonderful school!"
