Campfire Cravings (Short Film)

​​What’s up everyone,

I am coming to you to talk about the GoFundMe campaign for my short film titled Campfire Cravings. Slated for production later this year in the fall of 2022, Campfire Cravings is a Horror/Comedy about a young man dressed in a ridiculous Mayor McCheese-style burger suit as he and his friends navigate a drug-fueled odyssey through the woods. All while being stalked by a mysterious hunter dressed in a ghillies suit, who seeks to make a meal out of him and his friend. This story is set up to look, feel and sound like a horror film, yet flips the genre on its head by filling the audience with gut-busting laughter.

The film touches on several themes, including an outsider's struggle to relate, the inherent unknown of nature and what evil can lie within it, and finally, the coalescence of anxiety with psychedelia.

This film is set and ready to go. The script is locked, and all the elements have been broken down to bring this story to life. It is complete with everything from Shot Lists to Storyboards to Shooting Schedules and many other cool features to make this film the best it possibly can be.

The most important of these elements, as it pertains to this conversation, is the budget. The goal I have set for this fundraiser is $8,500. At a whopping 17 minutes, this short film’s runtime means that it will take housing and feeding the cast and crew for a minimum of five days, most of which will be spent out in the deep woods of East Texas. That’s on top of covering the cost of equipment rentals, the purchasing of props, wardrobes, set dressing, and bloody and disturbing practical effects.
