Campbell Family Support Fund

On April 14th of 2017, Zenaida Campbell was anxiously waiting to leave work to meet her husband, Reginald (Reggie) Campbell and their Daughter, Zoey Campbell, to attend Zoey's first Disney on Ice show.   Zenaida was beyond thrilled and excited to see her daughter witness the event along with her husband. Prior to the event, Reggie had been concerned with an acute history of unexplained LBP and chest pains which began approximately March 3rd. Reggie's physicians had been monitoring this closely.

Shortly before leaving work, Zenaida and her family's lives took an earnest change as she received devastating news. Reggie had just been strongly advised, by his physician, to promptly admit himself to a hospital for further diagnostics to rule in or rule out cancer. On the evening of April 14th, Reggie was admitted to Methodist Hospital where a blood exam revealed abnormalities in his blood. He was subsequently diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL).

ALL is a cancer that originates from white blood cells called lymphocytes in the bone marrow. This type of leukemia can progress very quickly and usually invades the blood if not treated promptly. Despite the early diagnosis, leukemia cells were found in Reggie's blood system. Reggie is now on his second round of chemotherapy at Methodist Hospital. Reggie's diagnosis was recently changed to Philadelphia ALL which is a relatively uncommon form of leukemia in which there is a specific abnormality present in chromosome 22 of cancer cells. His current medical status is life threatening. Reggie's medical team has been in the process of attempting to find a bone marrow transplant donor within his immediate family members.

In the mean time, as Reggie is unable to maintain his previous work status, Zenaida has become the primary source of income for the Campbell family.   Challenging times, such as the one the Campbell's are currently facing, can often bring upon inspiration by acts of support and kindness from friends and family. Please consider making a contribution to help the Campbell's. A small or large contribution will go a long way to support Reggie, Zenaida, and Zoey during this challenging time. Thanks you for your support.
