Teníamos que elegir el mejor título para esta campaña y para describir a Alexander, al principio fue un tanto complejo, no porque sea difícil destacar sus virtudes, por el contrario, fue porque no sabíamos por cuál de ellas inclinarnos, no sabíamos si elegir su calidad humana, su integridad y amabilidad, su rol como hijo abnegado o simplemente su sentido de empatía con los demás. Al final decidimos elegir uno de los roles que hace a Alexander Castellanos ser quien es, el rol que desempeña de la forma más amorosa, el que le ayuda a darle sentido a su vida y seguir luchando día a día pese a las dificultades, el rol de padre y esposo, por eso esta es una “Campaña por un gran padre y esposo con cáncer”.
Alexander Castellanos es un venezolano ejemplar de 47 años que actualmente tiene Leucemia Mieloide Crónica, una enfermedad cancerígena de la médula ósea caracterizada por el aumento descontrolado de la producción de algunas de las células que ésta produce.
Sus familiares creamos esta campaña para ayudar a Alexander debido a que en Venezuela actualmente no se consigue el medicamento como consecuencia a la crisis en el sistema de salud y la crisis económica y las pruebas médicas representan montos que actualmente no tenemos. Buscamos aportar nuestro grano de arena en una las luchas más fuertes que cualquier ser humano puede librar, ¡La lucha contra el cáncer!
Alexander merece muchos años más para ver crecer a su hija, merece muchos años más para amar, vivir, sentir y para ser amado por sus familiares y amigos, por eso hoy estamos recaudando fondos a través de esta plataforma que le permitirán cubrir los costos de su tratamiento a través de la compra del medicamento Glivec de 400Mg que debe ser comprado en otro país y las pruebas de control de la evolución de su enfermedad denominadas “Q PCR BCR/ABL”.

We had to choose the best title for this crowdfunding campaign and to describe Alexander, at the beginning it was somewhat complex, not because it is difficult to highlight his virtues, on the contrary, it was because we did not know which of them choose, we did not know whether to choose his quality human, his integrity and kindness, his role as a selfless son or simply his sense of empathy with others. At the end we decided to choose one of the roles that makes Alexander Castellanos being who he is, the role that he plays in the most loving way, the one that helps him give meaning to his life and continue to fight day by day despite the difficulties, the role father and husband, for that reason this is a "Campaign for a great father and husband with cancer”.
Alexander Castellanos is an exemplary 47-year-old Venezuelan who currently has Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, a cancer of the bone marrow characterized by the uncontrolled increase in the production of some of the cells it produces.
His family created this campaign to help Alexander because in Venezuela, the medicine is currently not available because of the crisis in the health system and the economic crisis, and medical tests represent amounts that we currently do not have. We seek to contribute in one of the strongest struggles that any human being can wage, the fight against cancer!
