Hello and thanks so much for stopping by our page! We are Neil and Valerie Camp from Omaha, Nebraska and have started the adoption process to adopt a little girl from Ethiopia.
Just when we thought we were on a new path of debt reduction, a honeymoon we never had, new cars, a finished basement, and the list goes on, God brought us to something much more important. He laid it upon us, something that's always been a part of us in some way, going forth with adoption.
We have 3 biological children, Noah - age 12, Maia - age 10 and Finley - age 6. And after talking with them and praying about this constantly, we decided we must do this. There is a little girl out there who needs us and has our heart is hers. We love our family and absolutely cannot wait to become a family of six and allow our hearts to have a new child in it.
Now after jumping in with two feet, we have completed most of our home study paperwork, background checks, medical exams, etc., and are heading in the right direction. Never in our wildest dreams did we think this would actually happen. It's been a dream for years and years and now it's becoming a reality! Timing is always so perfect because God is just that good!
*Update! We have been matched! In March we were referred to a baby girl who was around 10-11 months at the time. Now she is around 18 months old. We are so ready to meet our sweet, beautiful little girl!
Thanks to so many of you, we already have raised over $10,000! Now that we know a court date may be approaching, we direly need to raise more, and quickly! We know that we can now probably only travel once, which saves a bit on plane tickets, however, our agency requires over $800 for staff costs while we are there. We also will be having a friend join us while in country (which we will pay for) so that Neil can come home halfway through. We don't know how long we will stay, but we know probably at least 2 weeks which is quite a lot of lodging and food over time for 3 people. We would love to raise money to pay for some of these fees but also to help buy supplies while there for the children at our agency's orphanages. Diapers and forumula are always desperately needed. If you can't make a monetary donation for fees, we will take over suitcases of donations and will happily accept these donations at ANY time! We also strongly encourage prayer! We know God is in charge of this and is constantly showing us that. With Him all things are possible, even bringing a baby home from clear across the world! Will you be willing to let Him use you to help us?
