We are two seniors at the Creative Media Institute at NMSU, Fernando Rivera and Samantha D'Amico, and this is the biggest project we have ever launched to have a positive impact in our community. Camp Hope is a self-governing transitional living community that provides temporary, shelter in the form of tents, showers, and cooking facilities to the homeless population of Las Cruces. The program is run by the amazing local non-profit Mesilla Valley Community of Hope (MVCH). MVCH’s services include day shelter, temporary overnight shelter at Camp Hope, intensive case management, housing programs, and assistance with transitioning out of homelessness and into stable housing. Our goal is to Raise $10,000 in 45 days, to fund one year of resources for Camp Hope at full capacity (50 People).
