Camp DELTA Supplies: Foster Science Interest!

We are creating a 3-day long science camp for middle schoolers at the local Boys + Girls Club to inspire science interest in them and get them excited either to pursue more science or a science career. Excitement in learning is much needed during this difficult pandemic time.
We hope this camp can be provided free of cost through this Gofundme, where we can get the funds to buy experiment materials the kids can use and learn from.
By doing hands-on science experiments, the kids will get more interested in the topics, compared to just reading a textbook on the same material. In school, and especially now, kids rarely get to do hands-on experiments, since this can be costly for schools to do for each kid. This is why we want to help them get the chance to do these experiments, right at home, with us guiding them.
Much research has shown that students learn best when they are actively engaging and interacting with the material, i.e. in the form of activities and experiments, which is our goal to do with them.
With this money, we will be forever grateful to you in your part in inspiring the next generation of curious scientists.
Each virtual class will consist of short presentations, worksheets or Kahoots, and multiple experiments or activities. We are so excited to host this and get students excited to enter the STEM field!
