My name is Gary Peacharoo, creator of PROJECT EQUILIBRIUM, and we invite you to help us raise €70k to buy and run a school for Vulnerable kids and Orphans in Kabale, Uganda.

In 2021, I walked 1254km along the Camino de Santiago from Valencia to Compostela de Santiago in aid of this awesome project to fund the school purchase in rural Kabale; and this fundraiser has now been updated to further reach this goal.

Together with local project BHHNP, we will raise €70,000 to buy a school, and pay for the education of 163 orphans who otherwise would miss the vital opportunity to learn and grow. All these kids have lost their parents to disease, some live with relatives, some live wild, all are in need of love and education.

€52,573 (220,000,000 UGX Uganda Shillings) will buy the school with 7 classrooms and much outdoor space (the private school building already exists, and a 25,000,000 deposit has been paid by BHHNP),

€13,478 (56,400,000UGX) will pay for the first 12 months of staffing costs (salaries for 1x Head teacher, 1x deputy, 11x Teachers, 2x kitchen, 2x security, 1x social worker, 1x cleaner),

€1863 (7,800,000UGX) will pay rental fees for accommodation for ALL the teachers

Remaining €2000 for running costs of the school, food, study materials, etc... The more money we raise, the bigger difference we will make not just to these kids and staff, but for the whole region for years to come...

I am walking the Camino alone, and self funded as both a personal challenge and an inert desire to help the kids. I have sold all my belongings to fund the adventure, which starts Friday 8 October...
