Camille's Cancer Medical Fund

In May of 2017 I recieved an unfavorable result from my routine mammogram. I was required to have further testing with 3d mammograms with additional views. From these tests it was decided that I should have  a sonagram of the  right breast. The results of these tests  required that I have an Ultra Sound guided needle biopsy of one area. However, on the day of the biopsy  the Dr.  saw two areas of concern and decided to do two biposies instead of one.
In June I met with  an Oncologist who explained  the results of the two biopsies. One  is considered DCIS (ductile carcinoma IN SITU) and is currently contained.
The 2nd  area is called infiltrating ductile carcinoma and that means  it is not contained.
July I have continued to work at my daily job and continued  to make decsions on what to do about the cancer.  I had to choose and meet with my doctors and radiologists and nurse practioners and sort out how much my insurance would help me cover this medical issue. In the meantime, my surgeon requested an MRI with contrast and the results of this test suggest an area larger than the ultra sound biopsy  had indicated.
So, on July 24, 2017, I have been scheduled to have a lumpectomy as well as a reconstructive surgery on the right breast. And there will also be reconstructive surgery on the non issue breast so that my physical body will have physical  balance and less issues with back, neck and shoulders .
The surgery is going to take around 4 1/2 hours with an overnite stay in the hospital.
The help that I need is for what the insurance is not covering.  The procedures i've already had have been fairly expensive and I have so far been able to handle most of it with a couple of the procedures having to go on payment plans.
However, the biggest expenses are about to take place.

Several friends have been urging me to set up a Go Fund Me Account and I have been dragging my feet to do so.  And, I have  finally reached the place of being too stressed out about the upcoming and future medical expenses.
My recovery time is expected to  be 6 1/2 to 8 weeks.

I hope to have use of my work benefits which provide medical leave at full pay for 2 weeks.  But, only half that for the rest of the time period. And there is a 5-10 day delay in payment.

For those of you who live in the Austin area I will also be needing some help  getting to and from treatments and possibly help at home. Several of you have already  volunteered and I will be  contacting you soon .

I am praying for skillfull surgery, clear and clean margins, safe and optimum results and successful, gentle beautiful healing. Long and full ,happy,  joyous and free life , cancer free.

Thank you for  your help. Camille
