Camilles Journey

Camille was born December 3rd, 2013. She was born with multiple, complex congenital heart defects. She has undergone multiple open heart surgeries and several intervention cardiac catherizations throughout her lifetime. She is also fed via feeding tube and has spent 3 years of her life on continuous oxygen. Despite her many challenges, Camille has lived an extraordinary life. Joy radiates from her being. She laughs and plays will her peers despite her poor health. She always has the biggest smile in the room and you can always find her with a silly giggle. Camille also became a big sister almost 1 year ago and has been the very best friend to her baby brother. She has taught him to talk and walk and shared her favorite toys for them to enjoy. She is a blessing to everyone she encounters and is the brightest light that shines on so many hearts.

Unfortunately Camille's heart cannot keep up with the amount of love she brings to this world. On September 12th, 2017 Camille was diagnosed with severe total heart failure. On echocardiogram the day of admission, when you should see a heart pumping and squeezing and filling, her heart was barely quivering. It was terrifying to witness and our family's greatest nightmare. Camille's heart was literally giving out. Was forward a month later and Camille is still considered in severe heart failure. She has made some progress but has many mountains to conquer. Right now Camille is not even a surgical candidate. Her heart is too weak to support ANY form of intervention besides heart failure therapy at this point. We still have several more weeks we are looking at in the hospital for this admission and God willing she will be returning as soon as possible (as soon as she is strong enough) to undergo surgical intervention to help give her the greatest chance to sustain life. This will be an ongoing fight that we will be battling one day at a time.

I truly believe with all of my heart that God has brought Camille through too much, and she is too full of life, for her fight to end here. Although this was sudden and there is no explanation for it, we believe the unexplained can be seen through healing as well.  We appreciate the love and support our family has received. Ultimately though all that we ask is that you pray fervently for our daughter!!! We pray for MIRACULOUS SUPERNATURAL healing that only God could provide!!! Lord hear our cries and heal her heart!
