Dites au revoir aux légendaires cheveux de Camille en donnant généreusement pour soutenir la recherche et la lutte contre le cancer!
Je m'appelle Camile Firlotte. Le 3 avril 2019, je co-organiserai et relèverai le Défi Têtes Rasées de Leucan qui se tiendra à l'Université Bishop's de Sherbrooke. Je ferai par la même occasion don de mes cheveux pour une deuxième fois au Programme DonEspoir Cancer, un organisme à but non-lucratif qui remet des perruques gratuitement aux enfants québécois atteints de cancer. D'ici là, j'espère amasser le plus de fonds possible avec cette page que je remettrai ensuite à Leucan le jour du défi.
Ayant initialement prévu me débarrasser de mes cheveux pour des raisons personnelles, j'ai décidé d'en faire un projet qui puisse aider quelqu'un. Cette cause est très importante pour moi, d'abord et avant tout parce que le cancer, peu importe sa forme, est une maladie dévastatrice à laquelle il y a encore trop peu de solutions, parfois aucune. Peu importe l'âge, le cancer n'est souhaitable à personne. Des membres de ma famille ont été touchés par le passé et j'ai récemment perdu ma marraine, décédée beaucoup trop jeune et si rapidement. Je pose ce geste pour elle et pour tous ceux qui n'ont pas l'immense chance, trop souvent tenue pour acquise, que j'ai d'être en santé.
Merci de m'aider à atteindre mon objectif en donnant, ne serait-ce qu'un dollar. Tous les dons sont très appréciés.

My name is Camille Firlotte. On April 3, 2019, I will be co-organizing and taking on Leucan's Shaved Head Challenge (Défi Têtes Rasées de Leucan) that will be held at Bishop's University in Sherbrooke. I will also be donating my hair for a second time to the DonEspoir Cancer Program, a non-profit organization that gives free wigs to Quebec children with cancer. In the meantime, I hope to raise as much money as possible with this page, which I will then hand over to Leucan on the day of the challenge.
Having originally planned to get rid of my hair for personal reasons, I decided to make it a project that could actually help someone. This cause is very important for me, first and foremost because cancer, no matter its type, is a devastating disease to which there are still too few solutions, sometimes none. Regardless of age, cancer is not desirable to anyone. Some of my family members have been affected in the past and I recently lost my godmother, who died too young and so quickly. I'm doing this for her and for all those who do not have the tremendous chance, too often taken for granted, that I have to be healthy.
Thank you for helping me reach my goal by donating, even if it's only a dollar. All donations are very much appreciated.
Plus, if I'm shaving my whole head, might as well make it worth it!
