Cameron’s Brain Cancer Battle

The amazing 6-year-old in this photo is my nephew Cameron. He’s in the battle of his life right now as he is diagnosed with a central nervous system embryonal tumor. It’s a grade 4 tumor (scale of 1-4) as it is malignant (cancerous) and very aggressive.

This coming week he’ll begin three 21 day cycles of intense chemotherapy. The treatment plan outlined for him has another very aggressive chemo treatment following the three rounds and then proton radiation treatment (have to go to USA for approx 6 weeks for that one).

This will be a long road for Cameron, his little brother and his parents and we want them all to focus on each other and Cameron’s treatment, and not be worried about the financial burden this will undoubtedly create.

Regardless of your faith, pray for my nephew. This world is so much better WITH him a part of it. He is an amazing boy - smart, kind, a great brother and cousin, and loves to be silly, laugh, and play hockey. He deserves, more than anything, to grow old.
