Cameron has began his recovery, the challenges that need financial support are a specialized vehicle, a remodel to his parents home to care for him, on top of complicated medical and care costs. Can you possibly imagine losing the use of your arms and legs because of a spinal cord injury in a car accident and then being stuck in a hospital without family or friends during a pandemic? Cameron is 24 years old, a father of beautiful year old Harleigh and someone that you can’t help but love to be around. Cameron is one of the hardest workers you could ever find and is dearly loved by so many for his fun loving spirit and heart of gold.
On Friday afternoon February 7, 2020 Cameron’s life was changed forever by a tragic car accident. He was flown to University of Maryland Shock Trauma and treated in ICU with critical life threatening injuries. Cameron has never met someone that he couldn’t call a friend after meeting them and he has always worked hard for everything he has and for his family. He is always laughing, caring and ready to lend a hand to anyone that needed it. He was working a full time job and working full time starting his own very busy business R-Cam Construction. This is not a young man that deserves to have such a tragic event occur to him.
Ron & Keirlyn, his mother and father, his sister Kaytlin, his daughter Harleigh are truly his most valued treasures. Since that fateful day in February his family has struggled to manage being there for Cameron and taking care of his family while maintaining their own fulltime jobs. Cameron underwent many surgeries and faced numerous challenges before he left the ICU to face his very serious spinal cord injury. His road has been long, and the road before this family will be months and years long.

I know life has been hard for all of us being stuck home more, or being essential and working more. But imagine learning at 24 years old that you will also be a quadriplegic.
