Care for Cam

Cameron has been riding dirt bikes since he was 4 years old. He had just got a KTM 85 this Christmas. We've always made sure Cameron had the proper safety gear and taught him how to ride safely. Unfortunately, on  Saturday February 3rd while riding with a friend, he suffered a freak accident. The boy he was riding with fell over in front of him which caused Cameron to crash and land on top of the other bike. As Cameron put his arm out to brace for impact his arm was sucked into the spinning rear wheel between the swingarm and the tire of the other bike. The tire literally chewed the top of his left forearm off.  His arm was stuck there for several minutes. Eventually the air was let out of the tire allowing his arm to be removed. It was a gruesome sight. We had high hopes that he could still move his fingers and nothing was broken. We prayed for no infection. After the third surgery we got bad news. The tendons on top of his arm that operate the opening of his hand had deteriorated and he had lost full movement of his four fingers and thumb. He had his fifth surgery today to cover the wound with Integra Matrix.  He will later get a skin graft. After all that heals they will go in and attempt to repair the tendons soo he may move his fingers.  Cameron is going on his 10th day in the hospital and has many surgeries to come as well as months of rehab. At this point he  has accumulated over $200,000 in medical bills and we just found out our insurance has a $100,000 cap.   Cameron still has more surgeries to get him fixed up. We are asking family, friends, and the motocross community to help in any way they can to get Cameron back to 100%.
