Cambodia & Thailand Trip 2019

Hi friends! I am currently on a journey to travel the world, experience new things, and help people in any way I can. On my trip (July 13th-July 27th 2019) I will first be visiting Cambodia for a week with a group of 15-20 people. In Cambodia we will be going to a city called Siem Reap where we will help with a variety of building and maintenance projects at a school. In the free time we get we will shop, eat and have fun exploring the city and culture. In week two of the trip we will go to Thailand, about 2.5 hours away, where we will help at an elephant sanctuary for abused elephants. At the sanctuary we will help with various activities to help with the upkeep of the facility. We will also get to enjoy bath time with the elephants and visit local schools!

The program itself is $2,000 and that covers all of my food, transportation, living, water etc. It also covers fees for building materials and other expenses related to the volunteer work. The flight will be around $2000 to and from Cambodia.
This volunteer mission is very important to me as I love to experience new things, take pictures, and help people. For years I have dreamt about traveling to another country to help people, explore, and take photos.
This is a very exciting time for me as this will be my first ever trip out of the United States and Canada. While there are many nerve-wracking factors to this trip I am still overwhelmed with joy that I will get this opportunity. I truly believe in doing things that scare you in order to grow as a person.
In the time before I leave I will be coming up with more fundraising activities and items to sell to help fund my trip.
