Calypso, Our Family Dog

Calling All Animal Lover's. A dear friend of ours and her family are faced with a difficult situation.


In October 2019, Our friends the Burton Family, Mike, Afton, Olivia 6, and 
Hunter 3, received a beautiful surprise early Christmas gift an Italian Mastiff, Calypso. As with all our pets Lypsie, soon became a loved family member.  Lypsie would join the family on walks, hikes, and loved going to Yosemite in the R.V. 
At Yosemite Lypsie bonded with her Ridgeback cousin Clyde and of course the children were always in Lypsie's sight.  Rules are to be broken and Lypsie could often be found stretched out on the forbidden sofa.  Which was once off limits soon became a treasured memory.  
Lypsie has a way of making the lockdown tolerable by enjoying girl time with Olivia where she can often be found in Olivia's room "hanging out".
Upon returning one evening Afton noticed Lypsie limping and appeared to be in pain.  The Burton family soon learned that Lypsie was suffering from a chipped elbow and requires surgery at the tune of $5,000.  The Burton had purchased pet insurance but as with most insurance's they are refusing to cover the surgery.  With a $5,000 surgery bill, physical therapy, and after care the projected $8,000 will be an extreme hardship for this family.  The Covid situation makes current employment uncertain and at this time this amount of money is impossible.


Afton's friend's Judie Callan and Darla Ford insisted on trying a Go Fund Me page in hopes of bringing some relief for The Burton's and Lypsie.  We understand these are difficult and uncertain times for everybody and appreciate any help we receive.
