Meet Callan & Codi Burgess! Callan is my cousin and Codi is his wife. They and their son Graysom really represent what it means to be from Southeast Texas - they love those around them and would give you the shirt of their back.
But like many others along the Gulf Coast their lives have been turned upside down by Hurricane Harvey. Their house in Lumberton, TX is currently up to the roof in flood water and everything inside has been destroyed, and like many others who are in an area that has historically been flood resistant they are without flood insurance.
It will take a lot of time, hard work and resources for them to rebuild their lives. I am hoping that you can help me to help them in that process. Once the water recedes I'll be making the trip down to Southeast Texas to help Callan start the process of gutting their house and starting over. I would be grateful if you would contribute to this fund so we can help jumpstart the process of recovery for one family.
A little bit about myself for those who do not know me. My name is Eric Lopez and I live in Lehi, UT. I am originally from the Gulf Coast of Texas, and I remember going through my own major flood experience in 1994 when I lived in Sour Lake, TX. In fact Callan's step father was the one who rescued us from our house and I stayed with Callan while the water receded. This campaign is important for me because I know rebuilding is a long process, especially without flood insurance.
All proceeds raised from this fund will go directly to Callan Burgess and Codi Burgess. Funds will be used to replace destroyed property (specifically furniture, appliances, and clothing) as well as to begin covering the costs of cleanup and remodeling.

The funds will be used to pay for gutting and renovating their home that was flooded in Hurricane Harvey. They will also be used to replace appliances, furniture, and clothing that was destroyed in the flood.

The funds will go directly to Calland and Codi Burgess via their bank account. I will not be handling the funds myself.
