I am a local 3D Printing nerd in Calgary, and am looking to get supplies to our medical workers AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
I have been supplying some masks and face shields to some people interested in giving the necessary support which gave me the idea to push this ahead even further. THESE WILL BE DELIVERED TO ALBERTA HEALTH SERVICES.
What I am looking to do is print a total of 500 face shields and 500 filter masks as soon as possible. I currently have two machines running around the clock to supply as many as I can.
What I am looking for is funding for supplies such as filaments to produce the PPE, clear plastic sheets that can fit into the face shields, elastic bands for retaining the masks and shields,rubber moulding for the masks and finally the filter sheets for breathing.
The anticipated cost of these will be approximately $4 per item. this includes all of the supplies necessary for the finished product.
I am hoping I can drum up the support so we can do our part in supporting our overworked first responders. With everyone's help we can conquer this virus.
These supplies will go towards CALGARY AND AREA. I will do my best to get these to everyone as soon as humanly possible!
