Caleb's Hearing Aids Fund

Hello, my name is Melissa and I am organizing this campaign for my 8-year-old son, Caleb. Several months ago my family and I began to notice that Caleb was having difficulty hearing. He wasn't responding to us when we called his name and he often had to look at our lips in order to understand what we were saying.

A few days ago I took Caleb to see an Audiologist. The doctor informed us that he has significant hearing loss that most likely began when he was an infant. Caleb was born 14 weeks premature due to preeclampsia. While he was in the NICU, he was given many medications, that although were life saving, possibly caused his hearing loss.


Caleb will now need hearing aids for the rest of his life. Unfortunately, my insurance does not cover them. A set of hearing aids can cost up to $8,000, and like most, I am unable to afford that. I am asking for your help to provide Caleb with the hearing aids he needs and deserves.

Anyone who knows Caleb knows that he is a sweet little boy with a big heart. He loves to play the clown and get a laugh out of us. Although he is tons of fun, Caleb is also very timid. He lacks confidence in his communication and has a hard time with his speech. His doctor is confident that with hearing aids, Caleb's social skills, speech, and academic performance will significantly improve. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you all so much in advance!
