Diabetic Alert Dog for Caleb

On May 1st Caleb was hospitalized  and  was diagnoised with Type 2 diabetes, at this time his blood sugar was so high it wouldnt even register when it was checked.  We are trying to raise money to get Caleb a diabetic service dog so we can be notified when his blood sugar does spike, Caleb has Down Syndrome and is mostly nonverbal and unable to state when hes not feeling well so we are unaware when his blood sugar is extremely high.  Having  diabetic detection dog would enable us to detect a blood sugar spike hours before the meter would, which would help keep him from permanent harm. The total cost for the service dog is $15,000, we are only trying to raise $2,500 for the deposit and $5000 for the training, care and delivery of the dog. We will be responsible for other $7,500.   We found a great place in Las Vegas, NV that will train the dog for Calebs specific needs.
