Caleb's YWAM Mission to South America!

Hello and thank you for taking a few minutes to view Caleb's GoFundMe campaign for his upcoming mission to South America in 2020!
Firstly we would like to give a HUGE "Thank you!" to everyone who has supported Caleb with your donations and prayers in the past. :-) He could not have had such a successful summer last year on staff at Gleanings For the Hungry in California without you! Thank you so much for your generosity and keeping him in your thoughts and prayers!
Caleb (18) is preparing for a new adventure in his service to the poor and needy in our world in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. And we are asking you to prayerfully consider partnering with us once again as he embarks on this next chapter of his life as a missionary to South America this coming Spring.
In January 2020 Caleb will begin his training for this outreach at the Gleanings Discipleship Training School (DTS), a mercy ministry of Youth With A Mission (YWAM), in California as he prepares for his first overseas ministry/outreach program in Colombia and Peru.
The 5 month DTS program consists of two parts: firstly, a 12 week training phase which will include discipleship training to further his continuing spiritual growth, and ministry training to prepare him for the outreach phase in South America; and secondly, the actual 8 week outreach phase where he will travel to both Colombia and Peru to serve the local peoples of these countries by distributing food prepared in Dinuba, California at Gleanings (where he and my other children serve each summer) and sharing the Good News of a Good God who loves them beyond their wildest imaginings! Depending on the actual needs of the people he will engage with in South America he could also be participating in building projects and other means of service to those in need.
The total cost for the outreach and necessary training is approximately $5800. He has a job at Amazon and has been saving his pay to put toward the cost of the mission, hoping to have about $1200 of his own funds by the time he leaves for California in early January. He is asking for your help to raise another $2500 towards the total costs. We are hoping we will be able to meet this goal before he leaves in early January but we realize the time is short.

You will be investing in the spiritual life of Caleb and the many people who will be reached with practical help and the Good News of the the love of God who has made a way for us to to know Him through His Son. Whether or not you are able to help financially we ask that you keep Caleb, his team, and the ministry of YWAM/Gleanings in your prayers for their safety, strength, and other necessities, and for the people of Colombia and Peru they will serve.
