Yesterday, April 7th 2018, Caleb Bliss passed away. There have been so many people that have reached out asking how they can help the Bliss family in their time of mourning. That's always a tough question. After the loss of a family member, especially when it is a child, there is never enough that can be done to console the family. Emma, Robert & Wyatt plan to have a celebration in honor of Caleb's life. Once a place and time have been confirmed, information will be shared with everyone.

Caleb was a beautiful baby boy, born early and with many complications. Most of these complications were later diagnosed and named A very rare neuromuscular disorder called "Myotubular Myopathy". Family and loved ones have known that this day would come where Caleb’s journey could no longer be shared with all of us. And his time on earth may have been just a short 5 months and one day, but let me tell you how beautiful and such a ray of light he was to everyone around him. With the help of amazing nurses, doctors, physical therapist, family and friends, Caleb lived every moment possible surrounded by more love than imagined. There are so many things I wish I could do, things I wish I could fix, answers I wish I could give, and expenses I wish I could make vanish. I know almost everyone has their own financial stressors, but I'm hoping as a community we can come together and help the Bliss family with one of the many hardships they are continuing to face. If you are able to spare anything, please consider it.

The only thing the family has requested is:
"Please go out into the world to do something good. Love one another in Caleb's memory." Sometimes it takes these moments to remind us to apprecaite the people we have here today. So if you haven't already, take the time hold your loved ones tight. Say I love you every chance you can. Realize the importance in being there for people emotionally, mentally and physically.

This little boy taught me so much in such a short period of time. The few times I could spend with him in the four walls of his NICU room were far from “short” and uneventful. We had a “party” ( as his brother Wyatt called it) where we laughed and enjoyed life, without any rhyme or reason.I looked down at that beautiful baby boy's smiling face as he looked around at all of us laughing and enjoying life. For one short moment I felt grateful. Yes we may have been in a NICU but he saw what Love was. What spending time with loved ones felt like and that people where what mattered. Being there in that small room was still a party full of love and life. I’m so thankful that this warrior had two strong parents and a big brother who spent every day of his life making sure he lived it. I then became greatful to also have them, and every loved one in my life who has been there for me. It shouldn't take these moments to make me apprecaite them, but I am so honored it happened.

If he had the ability to change my life, to do this in such a short period of time, so do all of you. Life is short. But it’s only what you make it. Any penny that can be donated is more then appreciated, but even if you can’t I hope you all know how amazing this family is. This brave boy became a warrior because all he knew was a family made up of them. Xoxo
