Caleb Link Memorial Fund

Donation protected
It is with sadness that we share news of the passing of Caleb Link.

Funeral expenses are very costly (estimated $12,000+) and the Link family will likely need financial assistance. The Link family has agreed that any excess financial support received on this GoFundMe will be donated to Bel Canto (Blue Mountain Academy's select choir) in honor of Caleb's passion for music and his time spent as a member of the group.

Please feel free to share this page and help contribute with financial support and prayers.

Visitation and viewing will take place at Peter's Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg PA on Friday, June 23rd from 12:00-1:00 PM, followed by a graveside service at the Evergreen Cemetery in Gettysburg.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Caleb Edward Link will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 25th at the Hamburg Community Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 22 Willow Rd, Hamburg, PA 19526 with Pastor Alex DuBee officiating. A time to share memories with the family will be on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church.

Our heart goes out to the Link family at this difficult time.

Caleb Edward Link, 25 of Hamburg, formerly of Gettysburg, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 19, 2017 at his parents’ residence. Born Wednesday, November 13, 1991 at Gettysburg Hospital, he was a son of J. Allen and Christy (Scott) Link, both of Hamburg.

Caleb had many passions, including his chosen occupation as a sound and light technician. He loved to say his job was simply “pushy things, slidey things and twisty things,” and was fond of practically anything with cables. He was also a devoted fan of Doctor Who and the BBC, in addition to Formula One, and was looking forward to an experience driving in an exotic car this Sunday. In his last weeks he enjoyed many hours flying and repairing his remote-controlled quadcopter and playing with his young cousins Aria and Evan Chamberlin, who he adored.

In addition to his parents, Caleb is survived by three sisters, Jethra D. Link of Berrien Springs, MI, Jessica D. Link of Berrien Springs, MI, Justine D. Link of Claryville, NY; maternal grandparents, George and Peggy Scott of Littlestown; paternal grandmother Barbara Link of Gettysburg; paternal grandfather, James Link of Rome, GA; five aunts and uncles, uncle, Harvey Scott, uncle, Mark Link, aunt, Wanda Chamberlin, aunt, Lori Foltz, uncle Tere Bradwell; many loving cousins, extended family members and friends.

Caleb will be remembered as the kind friend that he was to all.
