Caleb Breitenstein’s brain tumor surgery fund
Donation protected
Our 9 year old son, Caleb Breitenstein was recently diagnosed with medulloblastoma a type of brain tumor. He was flown from Florida to Tennessee to undergo immediate brain surgery at St. Jude’s Hospital to have the tumor removed.
Your donation of any amount would mean the world to us. This fundraiser is to help cover medical and recovery expenses for Caleb.
Beyond the expenses for surgery Caleb will also have to undergo outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy for awhile. He will also need follow-up visits. Thankfully St Jude is covering much of this, but we will still be out of pocket over the next few months roughly $16k.
As a parent, this is never a scenario that you want to find your child in. At 9 years old, having your head opened to remove a tumor has been incredibly terrifying for him, and for all of us who care for him. He has been unable to drink, stand, or open his eyes without vomiting. Seeing him so sedated breaks my soul and heart. I miss seeing him so excited while playing games, he jumps up and down so excitedly that he forgets to keep playing. I miss him coming out of no where to try and tackle me. I miss seeing him being creative and turning the whole house into a battlefield, and of course the good guys always win. The surgery so far has been a success as far as removing the tumor, but now having to wait days for the pathology report is wearing me down.

Again, any donation is greatly appreciated, and continue to pray with us for a healthy and complete recovery for Caleb.
