Please help our talented group from Calallen ISD get to Destination Imagination Global Finals in Knoxville, TN! Our team consists of a 5th grader, a 4th grader and five 3rd graders. They won 1st place at regionals and 5th place at state!! We are ready to compete at globals May 21-24, 2014 (www.globalfinals.org). We need your help to pay for travel, meal plans, registration, rooms and more! (registration, lodging & meals is $685 per person. For 7 team members & 1 team manager it will be $5,480, which does not include transportation) Every little bit helps!
Destination Imagination (DI) is a non-profit, volunteer-led, cause-driven organization. Their purpose is to inspire and equip students to become the next generation of innovators and leaders. They offer a creative problem-solving competition that involves Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math. This team has worked hard for 7 months to design and build multiple pieces of equipment to solve the technical challenge. A big part of the program is the Interference policy: in short, kids have to imagine, create and develop solutions on their own. Parents, Team Managers, family and friends can't suggest ideas or force teams in certain directions.
