Meet Cajaria. she is a 13 year old who attends Tuskawilla Middle School and lives in Oviedo, Florida with her mom and dad. I met her 4 years ago when I took a job at Kid City USA, where her mom Carolyn Garrett is the cook. Cajaria was diagnosed in 2013 with Leukemia and was in need of a bone marrow transplant at that time . While waiting for a donor, Cajaria's Leukemia went dormant and the doctors advised her mom to wait and do nothing because it was no longer a threat. Since Cajaria's diagnosis, Carolyn has been thanking God and praying for a miracle.
On Monday 9/3/2018 Cajaria complained of her head, neck and stomach hurting. After several complaints of not feeling well, Carolyn took her daughter to the Oviedo ER where she was told that 80% of her white blood cells were Leukemia again. They rushed her to Nemours Children Hospital where she is on three different kinds of Chemo therapy and will need a bone marrow transplant. As you can imagine, Cajaria is getting very ill from the Chemo and she will lose all of her hair. The doctors at Nemours have been giving Cajaria the best care possible.
I have created this Go Fund Me account to help raise money for this amazing family. Carolyn has been forced to take a leave of absence to be with her daughter everyday. She has exhausted all of her vacation and personal time. She is traveling back and forth to the hospital daily and spending the night most nights.
