Caitlin Dietrich Memorial Service Funds

We are trying to help ease the cost of bringing Caitlin home, and putting her to rest. Caitlin struggled her whole life with severe depression and anxiety. A mother to two boys, she fought hard to overcome this part of her life and she fought for a long time. Knowing what a dark hole depression is, she tried to reach out to other moms who had the same struggle. In the weeks before her passing she started Blogs on multiple different websites trying to reach women suffering like she was in an attempt to let them know they weren’t alone. In one of her posts a few days before she lost the fight with her own mind, she said, “Sometimes I feel like I’ll never be good enough no matter what I do, I always seem to feel like I would be better off dead. But when we have those thoughts it’s best we talk to each other, mainly to help each other to not feel that way. I’m here for you all, I love you all.” Even on her darkest days she thought about others. One of the last posts she made said, “I will be okay for now.” We we’re worried about her and we as a family checked in on her often in the weeks prior to her passing. She told us she was doing better and that the mom blog was really helping her to be strong and her baby boys were what propped her up. As a message, if you know anyone struggling with their mental health, reach out, and then reach out again, and then reach out again. We lost someone we loved to something that tricked her mind into truly believing she was alone in the world. Caitlin also suffered from learning disabilities, Tourette’s, and epilepsy as a child that caused such severe bullying I as her sister can remember times I had to physically fight to get the kids away from her. She was different but she was remarkable and the hole she’s left is unbearable to her children, fiancé, mother, father, sisters, brother, and extended family.
