We regret that due to current restrictions we won’t be able to run our festival for 2021 but we want to hit the ground running for 2022 so we are kicking off our fund-raising campaign now with this GoFundMe page.
WHAT IS OUR AIM FOR 2022?
We will run our 25th annual festival in 2022 and we have decided to call it “Cahersiveen Festival of Music and the Arts 25th Anniversary Homecoming Festival”.
If we are successful in this fund raising effort we will be in a great position and we won’t need to change the wristband fee for adults and children for Festival 2022 and we promise that we will give you all a 25th anniversary festival to remember!
WE NEED YOUR HELP – WHY?
We are asking for your help for one year only. We couldn’t run the festival in 2020 and won’t have a festival in 2021 and our funds are seriously depleted. Each year it costs an average of €85,000 to run the festival. We have had no income for two years and our contingency fund is low. We have always had wonderful support in the form of sponsorship from our local businesses (and I’m sure they won’t let us down in 2022) but we now need your help too.
WHAT CAN YOU DO NOW TO HELP US?
Come home for Cahersiveen Festival of Music and the Arts in 2022. We would love to welcome all our friends, extended family members and relations for this homecoming festival.
Donate what you can, every single euro will count and we will appreciate every gesture no matter how small.
Share this GoFundMe page with family and friends and most importantly – if you haven’t been home to Cahersiveen for some time start planning now for your ‘home coming’ for August Fest 2022!
The decision to set up a GoFundMe page hasn’t been taken lightly. However, we know how important the AugustFest is to our community, our visitors and our local economy and that is why we felt it was necessary to take this step to secure the future of the festival. So stay safe out there and see you all in 2022.
