On the morning of July 2, 2017 Cael and Chalee Eystad were involved in an ATV accident. They had to be airlifted in separate helicopters to the North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN. Cael sustained a broken left hand, broken right wrist and a separated AC joint in his shoulder. He has since had surgery and is currently recovering. Chalee sustained a collasped right lung, severey bruised left lung, a fractured pelvis and a lacerated liver. She is currently in an induced coma fighting for her life. Once she is stable she will require numerous surgeries to help her heal. They will both require therapy and long term care on their road to recovery. As well as home renovations to accommodate their injuries.
This is a wonderful, loving family that is always willing to help others. The entire family is well known in our small comminuty and all three of their children are involved in various activities.
