Cade Allen’s Medical Fund

Every now and then you are lucky enough to meet amazing neighbors and people who bring joy and happiness to your world. I am so lucky to live next to an amazing family with quadruplets.

The quads as we lovingly call them were born over 90 days early Oct 30, 2004. The three girls are growing beautifully, however, Cade continues to struggle to hold onto life.

-Britt was born at 1lb 14 oz.; (identical twin to Jayce)
-Jayce was born at 1lb 4 oz (identical twin to Britt)
-Cade was born at 2lbs 4 oz

Cade was born with Hydrocephalus, which means water on the brain; he had to be transferred to Children’s hospital shortly after his birth to have brain surgery.  Cade had to have a reservoir placed in his brain to drain the excess fluid, he was too small to have a shunt placed, and that would require a second brain surgery as soon as he met the weight requirement.

Cade suffered the same as the girls his eyes sealed shut, translucent skin, on life support to help him breathe, he was in critical condition due to the hydrocephalus.

Cade, like the 3 girls developed outside of the womb in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Primary Children’s Hospital.

April 13, 2009; Cade was taken by Life Flight to Primary Children’s Hospital. Cade endured 8 brain surgeries in 23 days. He was able to return home but his health had been greatly compromised.

Since then Cade has struggled daily with the ability to eat, he has been on life support and had so many hospital stays, that he has grown an aversion to things touching his lips. He also struggled with digestion due to the tubes that run under his skin from his brain to his stomach.

To date, Cade has bravely undergone 71 brain surgeries. After several failed surgeries Cade has been placed on Home Hospice care.

This family has had so much love and support but they still have a long road ahead of them. We love this family and want to help where ever we can as a community.

We would like to help them with their medical bills and whatever they need for these beautiful strong girls.

If you cannot donate money we are asking for prayers for the family.
