<div>Cade (16) and Percy (14) recently went to Sydney to play in the PCYC’s Nations of Origin basketball competition, representing the Biripi community. Whilst there, they were fortunate enough to be unknowingly scouted. This allowed them to trial for an Indigenous All-Stars team, which they were both successful in being selected for. This means they are off to the USA in April 2026 to compete in the Junior Varsity League.

<div>This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for both of the boys and we are now fundraising to ease the financial pressures for their families. Whilst in the USA, the boys will be trained by some of the countries leading athletes and coaches and they will partake in leadership and personal development training. They will also be giving back to community by servicing those in need at Welfare-Square and connecting to the local culture by visiting the five Native American State Nations. They will then conclude their trip in Los Angeles for an additional 4x days of training, meeting professional NBA players and attending live NBA games.

<div>Collectively, we are aiming to raise $15,000 to get Cade and Percy to the USA and would be eternally grateful to anyone who has the ability to support the boys and their opportunity. Any funds raised will be given to the PCYC to pay for Cade and Percy’s expenses associated with the trip.
