Relief for Darcie

Donation protected
As many of you know, Darcie Sutherland could use a helping hand right now. For those of you who don't live in Dove Creek, Darcie is a pillar of strength in our small community. She was recently widowed this winter due to a tragic hunting accident. She has two young boys with her late husband and works part time as a cosmetologist. Late last night, while she and her boys were sleeping, a 400 pound bear squeezed through a small window in her house and went foraging for a snack in her kitchen. When she heard the ruckus coming from the kitchen and realized what it was, she wisely woke up her boys and evacuated through a window. She drove to her nearest neighbor (which happens to be her in-laws), and her father-in-law and the DOW took care of removing the bear from her home. However, the bear unleashed havoc on her kitchen. Even if insurance pays out for the damages, there is always that pesky deductible. As if this hasn't been a difficult enough year for Darcie and her precious boys, now they must deal with yet another setback. Please join me in helping Darcie cover her expenses in regaining her kitchen, and hopefully more so she and the boys can afford to make some good memories this year. Let's help her keep the nightmares at bay, and bring some joy and relief into their lives.
