Baby Gideon’s Medical Expenses

Donation protected
Hello Everyone!! As most of you know Kiki and Esteban will be meeting baby Gideon on December 15th. On Kiki’s 20 week appointment, she was hoping to find out the sex of their baby. She found out it was going to be a boy, but she also received other news on top of that which would lead to visits to Sioux Falls. Her first visit was to confirm that their baby has Edwards syndrome/Trisomy 18. Trisomy 18 is considered a very rare and fatal chromosome condition. A very high percentage of babies aren't able to make it to birth alive and even fewer babies are able to survive once born. This means quite a few visits to Sanford in Sioux Falls, SD and also days off from working. There is no hospital close by that is prepared to handle this diagnosis. As the medical bills are coming in, we want to alleviate as much stress on Esteban and Kiki so they can focus their attention on baby Gideon. We don’t know what the future holds for him or for the family but all we can do is pray and hope they can enjoy him to the fullest without worries.

The name Gideon was chosen in reference to Gideon in the Bible, who was the smallest and weakest in his family but God used him to defeat a large army.
