Those of you who know my mother know she is a beautiful soul. She loves the beach and butterflies, the Lord, and she has unwavering faith. She is an amazing wife, mother and grandmother. She is all these things...except now she has cancer.
Monday September 14, 2015, My parents went to the hospital due to my mother experiencing back pain, which we thought was from an accidental fall while moving some boxes. Instead, we were met with the news that every family prays they NEVER hear: cancer- Pancreatic cancer that has metastasized to her liver and spine. After further testing, we were informed it was in stage 4 and she wasn't given much time .
I'm reaching out for help for my parents. Since the news, my dad had to quit his job so he could stay home and take care of my mom. Financial responsibilities and the responsibilities of life don't seem to stop or slow down when hard times hit.
All donations from this campaign will go towards helping my parents with their bills, as well as treatments and medications that aren't covered by insurance. We're not sure what will be covered and what won't be because we are at the beginning of this journey and it's a road we have never traveled down before.
My parents have sacrificed a lot in their lives for their family. There have been times when they went without to make sure that my brothers and I had the things that we needed and wanted. We now want to make sure they have the things they need. We don't want them to have anymore stress then they already have.
We know that there will be people who can't donate but prayers are more than welcome, as that would bless our family in more ways then you could imagine in this time. We believe my mom WILL be healed, and our strength and faith in God is stronger than ever.
"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them" (Matthew 18:20)
