Debbie's Cancer Fund

My wife of twenty years has stage 3 breast cancer. As we have learned inflammatory breast cancer is aggressive and and tough to beat. My wife noticed redness in her breast about five months ago and for nearly that length of time her doctor diagnosed it as a simple breast infection. Our life changed  on September 15, 2017, my wife's birthday when a new doctor gave us the terrible news that my wife had cancer. Now the cancer is at stage 3 and my wife faces six months of chemotherapy followed by surgery and radiation. The second toughest day of my life was giving the news to our two daughters who attend college at Ole Miss. I had retired from my federal law enforcement job so we could move to Mississippi so we could enjoy being close to our daughters throughout their college years. Though we live in Mississippi my wife will receive her cancer treatment in Memphis which is about  two hour away.  I am asking for donations to help defray some of the medical costs and to travel to and from MD Anderson in Houston.

Including my military service and law enforcement experience, I have been a public servant for over thirty years. I am fortunate to have a retirement and health insurance. My wife sacrificed a lot by marrying me. She had been studying to be a nurse but gave up her career to be a stay at home mother and raise our kids.  During my career we have moved eight or nine times and lived in five different states. I told her retirement would be her time and we could live and do as she wished. I wish I could give her more.  I wish I could her her all she deserves.
