$5 Donations for Noopa‘s tumor treatment
Hola, my name is Ra and my dogs name is Noopa (pronounced Nu-pah). Noopa is 19 years strong. I adopted her back home in
Puerto Rico when I was 15 years old and she was about a month
old. Having a pet at a young age teaches you alot of things,
especially responsibility.
After a recent visit to Blue Pearl Animal Hospital in NYC, we
learned that Noopa has mild heart failure due to a cancerous
tumor that has grown onto her heart pushing against her trachia making it hard for her to breathe and causing constant coughing
and discomfort. This is also causing liquid build up in her lungs.
Currently, Noopa is under several medications to push out the
liquid from her lungs and help with the coughing which is making
her heart condition worse because of the force with which she
coughs. Noopa has also lost some eye sight and occasionally has
trouble standing. Yet despite all this she is a strong old lady who
wants to live and loves sunbathing, carrot and banana treats, and
laying on all the carpets and rugs in the apartment.
Over the last few weeks we have made many trips to the vet and
hospital. The cost of the visits, consultations, xrays, ultrasounds,
bloodwork, and medications have been tough. But now, we are in amore difficult spot. Noopa needs special tumor treatment, and that is why I
am asking for your help.

Why are we fighting so hard for Noopa?
Having a connection with an animal is a special thing, especially
when they have been with you for 19 years! When my brothers
and I were homeless teens (due to family problems and our
mothers alcoholism) we couldn’t bare part with Noopa. We
couldn’t leave her alone in the streets to freeze and starve so we
always found ways to keep her (many times with the help of others). If we had a little bit of food, we gave her some, and although
we were all hungry and scared, Noopa never cried and was just
happy being with us, her pack. 19 years has seen alot of changes
and Noopa has been with me through it all. I love my little buddy
so much, I cannot put it into words. I am now an adult woman in
in my thirties and Noopa is an old lady who use to get zoomies and would play with her stuffed toys but now spends most of her days resting and guarding the front door. If her tumortreatment buys me a few more time with her, I am going to keep fighting for her ❤️
