UPDATE: We have officially hit our initial goal to pay for all player/coach plane tickets, team on-site travel, hotel and meals. All remaining donations will be used to help reimburse our awesome young volunteer coaches Brad Scott and DJ Frederick for expenses they have incurred throughout the season and evenly help families off-set some of their large travel expenses. The financial support has been amazing. We have a great community and thank everyone for their spirit and gifts.
ORIGINAL POST: We need your help! The Lafayette Lightning 12U baseball team has earned the privelege to play in the World Series being held in Los Alamito's, CA between August 1 - August 4. In order to make this happen it takes almost $24,000 for flight, on-site transportation, lodging and food. In one day we have raised just over $11,000 for these 12 kids and two young coaches to make this a reality. We need your financial support to help provide these kids an opportunity they have earned. Every cent matters and the timeframe is short since the team depart this Thursday. Thank you for your consideration and support!
