Allison's Fight / Round 2

As many of you know, Allison has had a relapse of her cancer. She was prepping for a move to Florida and her new job at Disney, when we got the word that her 1 year anniversary checkup came back positive for cancer. This happened 3 days prior to us driving her to Florida, so once again, her life has been put on hold. While Allison has been through this before, this round of chemo will be much more rigorous. The intent the first time was to kill the cancer while preserving her body for her life ahead by using less chemo combined with radiation. This time around they have to throw caution to the wind and kill the disease for good with a much stronger regiment of Chemo over a longer period of time, which we now know will leave lasting effects. For example: Allison's ability to have children naturally will be taken from her... this breaks our heart. We can only imagine how she feels having to overcome yet another hurdle just to have a shot at a normal life. These are thoughts most 18 year old graduates don't, and shouldn't have to face.

We are blessed with many friends and family members who ask on a daily basis what they can do to help in support of Allison and our family, "just ask".... we are asking. We are still in the process of paying off Alli's first battle and have come to realize that this fight will be much more costly. There are options for the many obstacles that Allison will have to overcome, including the fertility Clinic in Boston, that are not covered by insurance and have significant costs. With this great network of friends and family our hope is that we can raise the necessary funds to give Allison a better shot at a normal life after her 2nd battle with cancer. Anything is appreciated and feel free to spread the word to help Alli with her fight.
